Insulation gave Newman’s tenant a warm feeling
The team from the Leamington branch recently received a report from a tenant residing in the village of Long Itchington.
During the spell of particularly cold whether in February this year, the tenant felt a considerable draft from the loft hatch and she also felt the home was generally not as warm as she would like with a young baby in tow.

As a solution to the problem posed, property manager Natalie Curran suggested the tenant apply for a government grant for cavity wall and loft insulation under ‘The Warm Front Scheme’ which she had read about.
The grants are available to both tenants and homeowners who are classified eligible under the requirements of the initiative.
More information on this can be found at www.direct.gov.uk
Within a week of applying for the grant the tenant received a visit from an engineer to carry out a technical survey.
